2008 October > Sacred Heart Cleans Up

The Environmental Council at Sacred Heart Secondary School kicked off the year with a Fairy Lake Cleanup Day as part of the TD Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup. This initiative was a great way to help care for our environment and keep Fairy Lake clean and safe. As part of the TD Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup, people across the country helped pick up an astounding 270,756 cigarette butts, 106,139 food wrappers, 79,646 bags and 31,732 plastic bottles - wow! Thank you to the students and teachers at Sacred who helped make a difference and get green.
