A Hawaiian themed party was held at the Optimist Hall following the "Golf for the Kids Tournament", with all proceeds from the fundraiser going to the Sick Kids Foundation in memory of Noah Mayers. Noah passed away at the age of 3 and a half months on April 20, 2008 due to a heart defect. The organizers plan to make this an annual event with proceeds dedicated to a different charity each year. The proceeds from last year's fundraiser went towards breast cancer. The night included donated raffle items, prizes, a cash bar and great music by a local DJ. There was a minimum $10 donation required to attend the event.
